Recipe: Rabbit with cabbage and Merlito wine

Ingredients for four people:

1\2 rabbit stripped into pieces

5 garlic cloves

bay leaf

salt

pepper

extra virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons honey

1\2 cabbage

1\2 apple

1 pink onion

bay leaf

Method:

Sauté, over a low heat, the rabbit seasoned with salt, pepper, olive oil, bay leaves and garlic. When it is well colored, raise the heat and add a glass of red Merlito wine, evaporate the alcohol and lower the flame by covering with a lid. When cooked, add the honey and cook for 5 more minutes.

Meanwhile, finely chop the cabbage, onion and apple. In a pan with oil, start cooking with the onion over a low heat, then add the cabbage and the apple with the bay leaves. Leave to simmer over a low heat and, if necessary, add a little water. Season with salt and pepper.
